Creating a Trust which celebrates diversity, fosters acceptance and empowers every individual to achieve their full potential is an absolute priority for Liberty, and why, last year, we launched our first Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) strategy.

We are excited that, to strengthen our work in this area, we have entered into a new partnership with the Global Equality Collective (GEC). GEC already works with over 300 schools and Trusts and its mission is to help schools build positive, inclusive cultures.

Our work with GEC will include a new perception survey to help us understand how everyone who works for Liberty, or who attends one of our schools, feels about our culture. It will enable us to identify and understand areas where we need to improve, and develop a targeted action plan.

As part of this work, all Liberty staff will have a minimum of one hour’s CPD dedicated to EDI each term - including access to GEC’s Netflix style library of films and resources, to use in teams or to further their individual knowledge and understanding.
